15thC Tibetan Buddha of the Future sitting in the European Position. Finely sculpted, cast, and finished, this is one of the very best of its type you will ever see.
This piece is of the highest quality Partially Gilt Tibetan Bronze Buddhas in this style. When I first saw it Picked it up and held it in my hands, the small hairs on the back of my neck stood up. It took my breath away in a way that a few Buddhas manage to do-It is hard to describe what is so special about it. The best thing I can advise is to look closely at the photos. Look especially at the face, and more specifically into the eyes. Look at the patina and the Warm Glow it has from centuries of being touched. Look at the bottom, which, With the Gilded round seal in the middle looks close to the way so many fake undersides of Tibetan Bronze Buddhas look. Buddhas look, Only this one is "right" and authentic (I do think the consecration has been opened and resealed, though I am not positive)

I purchased this from a small auction house that Does not normally deal in Asian antiques and was selling off an estate collection Of Buddhas and other Buddhist and Hindu figures, from Tibet, Nepal, and India. They looked to be collected in the 1960s and '70s based on the old tags on a few of the pieces. Everything looked to be authentic, though the quality ranged widely. I bought a few other pieces in addition to this one, though this piece was by far the star of the collection. ( 5.5"H x 3"W x 2.75"D ) - 1.41lbs/640g
